Background

Salesforce Marketing Cloud, the university’s broadcast email management software, has notified the university that it made an immediate change to links in email messages sent from the university through Marketing Cloud due to a security concern. Links in any messages sent through Marketing Cloud on or before Jan. 21, 2026, have expired and no longer go to the correct link. This impact extends beyond Georgetown to other Salesforce clients.

Any links in messages sent after , Jan. 21, 2026, carry the upgraded security and will function properly.
