There are lots of choices for virtual worship in New York, and I’ve been going to different Masses online, but Sunday evening Mass in Dahlgren Chapel offers me a sense of real community. It’s not the same as being there, but it’s great to “see” other people I know sharing likes and leaving comments. It’s very comforting for me to have one of the Jesuits say Mass, and it feels reassuring when Jack DeGioia is there.

The virtual Mass is a chance to connect to a community and university that I love. Mass feels personal, and the space is very meaningful to me, as it is for so many who lived on campus. Attending Mass in Dahlgren was an important part of my time at Georgetown. Even online, it’s like reliving my Georgetown experience.
